Message from Nancy
As the MLA for the Martensville-Warman Constituency, it is my distinct pleasure to welcome you to my website.
This website provides a gateway to the community resources of the constituency as well as the programs, services and online information of the Government of Saskatchewan, Legislative Assembly and various levels of government. Please consider using this website as your homepage and portal to government services and community information.
I also want to provide constituents with the political news and activities that their MLA has been involved in. Many constituents will ask "What has my MLA been doing?", "What has she said?", "What is her critic area?", "Where does she stand?", "What is on her mind?" Here, you can find out. We have up-to-date MLA reports, news releases, and links to all of my statements, questions, debates and speeches during Legislative Assembly and committee proceedings. Constituency newsletters will also be published online as they are developed.
The present boundaries of the Constituency of Martensville-Warman were established in 2013. The former Constituency of Martensville which I represented since first being elected in 2007 was somewhat larger and included the towns of Waldheim, Hepburn, Hague and Dalmeny plus surrounding areas. The strong growth rate of this constituency relative to the rest of the province has necessitated in this constituency shrinking in size with every new set of boundaries since the 1970s. The first election under the current boundaries was held on April 4, 2016.
Martensville-Warman is an exciting, growing and changing constituency. While still considered a "rural" constituency, it is the only constituency in the province that actually contains two cities, those being Martensville and Warman. The constituency also includes the town of Osler and a number of farms and acreages immediately north of Saskatoon in the RM of Corman Park.
In closing, my constituency assistant Whitney Friesen and I invite you to explore the website and offer any suggestions that you may have for information that you feel should be included or highlighted. Just Contact Nancy.
Nancy Heppner, MLA
